This is a bit of a self-serving post but probably of interest to many IXDA
folks.
Today the first public version of Expression Blend 3.0 was released. Included
is a new feature called SketchFlow which is designed for dynamic-prototyping.
If you're a fan of Bill Buxton and his ideas put forth
to realize that hiring
multifaceted folks makes a lot of sense. Apologies to all the early movers on
this list that have been operating like this for awhile.

which can be done part time and DePaul University does offer a Masters in HCI
through its computer design group I think. Would be worth seeing if Georgia
Tech or Carnegie Mellon had tailored programs like this too.

communities I've seen in just about any city (IxDA company excluded of course
:). They've got an active community of about 850 folks that pay annual dues of
about $250 a year and they host some fantastic events.

If you're a young designer getting started I think it's a GREAT idea to spend a
few years in one of these places to get your skills pulled together. Although
today I would argue that doing a turn in Asia for a few years is equally if not
more valuable.
