as we are constantly working on improvements for our services, I would
be very interested to hear more about these problems. Maybe we can
discuss them
I have to work with plsql, the jts have the right algorithm so I've
decided to try it out: wrap the jts inside java stored procedures. It
hasn't been straigthforward but it works. Thanks for the hint Mike.

Thanks, I actually looked at the degree demo server and found at least the
layers I tested to be empty. :-( And because of the size restriction I can't
use it in my case anyway.
And thanks for the other suggestions on this list. None so far solve my problem.

The deegree demo server [1] hosts a WMS as well. It always runs with the
latest stable version of deegree.
The Base-URL for the deegree WMS [2], an example for the GetCapabilities
[3] and, last but not least, an example for serving OSM slippy maps via
WMS [4] as direct data source are
