Jeff, Sergion,
I suggest that these stay on wiki.
Sergio - osgeo wiki is not going away and we will be using wiki for organizing.
I will keep the wiki members table to keep track of who was invited and only
active members
will be listed on the website.
This is how we handle the MoU as well
It is my pleasure to nominate Nikos Lambrinos (Greece) as OSGeo Charter
Member. Nikos is a Professor of Geography Teaching and Director of Digital
Analysis and Educational Design Laboratory at the Faculty of Education , School

We are more thinking how we present the regional groupings of GeoForAll
labs on the main site rather than doing away with the wiki.

Jody,
I meant that sometime an application uses the Standards, but doesn’t really
support them (per OGC specifications). GeoMoose for example can read and write
out WMS and WFS via MapServer. And in it’s latest incarnation even read WFS
directly. Some of these capabilities adhere to the OGC
Oh I see ... I kind of think we should trust the projects for a bit (when
listing the standards) and then work with the OGC on getting our OSGeo
Projects certified (so they can have the official stickers). There is such
a large gap of commitment between implementing a standard and being
certified

Has anything significant changed from the process as documented here?

Main positive is that the new procedure seems easier for the CRO to manage,
and allows for an effective veto - the previous approach resulted in
everyone being elected.
Okay in the interest of not wasting anyones time I have revised the page as

Bob, Are you trying to differentiate direct support of standards vs
indirect support via another package?
GeoMoose is a web client and I believe the current project page (at least
as of when I was working on it at the FOSS4G code sprint) correctly states
the supported standards.
While MapServer

Dear all,

Hi all,
Has the window to nominate new charter members opened? I see some noms are
starting to go out, and I have a few to put forward myself this year - but
as I hadn't seen the CRO's announcement yet here on discuss I wanted to
make sure I didn't jump the gun. It's quite possible I missed the

Do you mean the difference between clients and servers? I would hope WMS
support in OpenLayers is clearly distinct from WMS support in MapServer.
Can you clarify bobb, standards are confusing / intimidating enough as it
is (especially for projects that implement a wall of them).
Ideally I would

I just published the meeting mins on the board, those included the time
frames and the new voting procedure passed at last years F2F meeting in

However I agree Sara that the CRO has not yet made their announcement (and
may need a moment to write up how nominations work).

Hi. How are these pages
(http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GeoForAll_Iberoam%C3%A9rica?) going to be included
in the new website? (First: are they going to be included at all?) We need to
make changes in it and we don't know if we can make them now or wait for having
them inside the new one.
Thanks
