Landon,
I keep a few presentations (some focusing on OSGeo, but all open source
related) archived at:

feel free to grab whatever you might find useful.

Do you mean "too big" as in number of people attending, "too big" as in
number of topics presented, or "too big" in some other sense?

I sent this to the California Mailing List, but I thought I would post
it here in addition. We don't get a lot of traffic on the California
list, and there may be subscribers to the Discuss list that would be
interested in attending.

I overheard someone say at GeoWeb 2008 that they could care less about
FOSS4G outside of North America and they have no interest in what will
probably be the next couple FOSS4Gs around the world. I'm sure there
are people in Europe and South America that feel the same way (about not
caring about g
I've been invited to give a presentation on OSGeo at the local GIS user
group and my company has agreed to cover my time out of the office.
(They even offered to sponsor the refreshments for the meeting.)
I was hoping some other OSGeo members have done similar presentations.
If anyone has mater
Sounds like I'm not the only one who isn't going to be vacationing in
foreign countries anytime soon. :]
It sounds like we might have some support for a bi-annual OSGeo
conference in the United States if it wouldn't distract from FOSS4G. Now
all we need is a city which is a cheap travel destinatio

This site looks very interesting, it would be nice to see links to
FOSS4G2008 in the Events area. And a link to OSGeo in the Basic FLOSS
links section of FAQ.
But my main question is: are transcripts of the presentations at the
OSOR GIS Community Workshop available? I'd like to read a few of them.
For some of us who work in state (US) government, approval for out of
country travel can be essentially impossible. Even if the location is
only about 60 miles out of the country...
I would like to see annual gatherings that I could actually attend,
assuming that they didn't draw too many people

I'm not sure when it comes to the term "registration" in a technical
sense -
