Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] [Election 2016] Board Nomination for Massimiliano Cannata
Dear All, Maxi has been an active member of OSGeo foundation and served the community well in various capacities. He has also help to spread the spirit of FOSS4G the worldover and I had several occasions to interact with him at conferences and workshops in Asia and Europe. About the Technology side story, Gérald Fenoy already introduced enough for his work. I strongly support Maxi's nomination for re-election as OSGeo Board Member. He has proved his dedication to OSGeo during his term by being always constructive in the discussion and taking part of various committees, such as the United Nations committee for which he is now the co-chair. I have known Bomp for many years now, and have worked with him in Japan while he was doing his graduate schooling under Venka-sensei. Bomp regularly gives workshops and talks on various OSGeo projects, and his youthful enthusiasm rubs off on students. He is now a researcher at Naresuan University in his beloved home country of Thailand, where I am sure he will continue to promote OSGeo. He has worked very hard to promote OSGeo and I want to thank him for this. -jeff ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss -- -- OSGeo.JP http://www.osgeo.jp -- APPLIED TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD.
