After connecting with SSH SoftSqueeze attempts to connect to the
SlimServer, when it dosen't receive a response in a timley manner it
reports that it cannot connect. Just leaving SoftSqueeze open for a
little while longer will result in a connection. However I am unable
to play any mp3's

something called Podcast Browser. As soon as I right-arrow this, the
slim.exe process halts with an error message in Event Viewer :

Maybe what we need is for someone to put
together a plugin. You could point the plugin at a playlist, and slim
would transcode just like it would for a remote player, only drop the
results into a directory you specified instead of streaming it.

of any of our transcoding helper applications to be 44.1KHz, 16-bit,
stereo PCM (the only PCM format supported by the SB1 hardware). I'm
guessing that flac is providing us with 24-bit samples, and SlimServer
doesn't yet

Use a symbolic link (UNIX) or shortcut (Windows) to graft the second
disk into your music directory tree. That's the only way AFAIK.

the screen goes black, puts up the Slim Devices startup logo, then goes
through the process of reconnecting to the network, which often takes 2
