I've got a 300Gb TS-101 running SlimServer. It's got around 130Gb of
data (music) on it and I setup the Q-Raid 1 function with an external
USB disk. 24 hours later it's only synced 58%.
Is this right?
Also, does anyone know of a way of changing the USB printer share name?

If anyone has ever thought about upgrading their Squeezebox power supply
to a Linear Power Supply, then I have one for sale. If you have a decent
Hi-Fi then you will get a much clearer/fuller sound from your
Squeezebox.

I get this problem as well...
Running SlimServer 6.2 and a SqueezeBox v3
When I disable transcoding (as suggested in the previous post), the
AlienBBC streams won't start playing. When I re-enable it, everything's
fine again.
Any ideas?

Taking this a little further, how do the Palm Devices (specifically the

Both do have wireless capability.. but are the plugins reasonably

Anyone have any experience with the above units?

Thanks for the replies. I'd forgotten about that song. Also good to know

There's also mp3tag which, although perhaps lacking some of the

Sorry if this is a redundant question, but I couldn't find a specific
answer in the forum. I just found out about the Squeezebox today, and
am very anxious to get one. Its exactly what I've been wanting. My
dilemma is my house sound was setup with 3 separate zones, basically
an FM receiver/AMP
For info, as was mentioned on this thread, the fact that my rear
speakers were set to 'Large' in the Yamaha 757 settings, was the reason
why I wasn't getting bass out of my sub when playing MP3's. I changed
the setting to 'Small' and now everything is fine.

Sorry another question regarding the 770.
The 770 can be used as a network music player, which is a feature I

Sony PSP or Dell Axim also have this ability.
Can anyone help?

sure, you could do that. or you could get a Squeezebox for each

The Dell Axim can be used a network music player but you'd have to get
extra software to do it. Unfortunately, as far as I'm concerned the
sound quality of the Axim hardware is simply not good enough. Can't

Because the commands are processed on the SN server. The SB is a slim

Interesting I guess that debunks my theory, so I'll pull at straws

this is so tricky to identify is that the CPU-audio interface is really

I was wondering what software people use to replicate their music

in sync. I don't think much of the replicator software that comes with

A few days ago my SB3 went all-noise for the first time since I got it

buzz. A soft reset (holding the power button on the remote for 4 sec)

The FLAC front-end for windows allows you to easily set up the automated
tagging. I did it with 600 CDs.
On the front-end window, select Tag Conf. button (right side of the
window). Set filename scheme to custom. Then type G/A/Y - L/N - T
to get Genre, Artist, Year - Album title, track no. -
The SB is a slim device and cannot process commands on its own, not

Just as an example, what happens when I push, say, off.
I guess an IR code must be received by the SB. Then what? What gets
sent to SN? Then what does SN send back? Ultimately something
The server (or SN, since that's really just a Slimserver with some
extras) gets the IR code, figures out it means Off, tells the SB
change your display brightness (if that has been set), and here is a
new thing to display (your off screensaver, usually the time or blank)
and that's about it.
