We use SqueezeNetwork to store the list of Shoutcast stations, so your SlimServer is just trying to download a small file from there to get this list. That error means it's having some problem downloading the file. You can try downloading it with a web browser to make sure your connection is

what kind of receiver do you have? It really sounds like the receiver is malfunctioning - it seems it is losing the s/pdif signal when it goes silent. It's not something I've heard of but I can think of a few possible ways it might happen. You might want to try the optical connection instead.
