My alarm didn't go off this morning, which was fine,

also tried that with the IP address instead of the no-ip dynamic DNS
I had this issue after upgrading to 6.5 and then falling back to 6.3. I
needed to ensure SlimServer was completely uninstalled, then re-install

SqueezeNetwork. Guess I'll consider registering after I upgrade to
6.3.1 which I'm a little hesitant to do at the moment because 6.2.2 has

browser, but not through slimserver (either using the Squeezebox
itself, or using the web interface), for some reason. You mention that
changing a proxy server setting might resolve the issue - please advise

U. Can't see why not. Like I say, it was working fine up until like

open for both TCP UDP and 9000 open for TCP traffic only - both on my

hi,
i just setuped my PC with WOL capabilities, and it works fine
- turning on my SB wake up my PC with slimserver running...ok
- turning off my SB and my PC become asleep...ok
but i have the habit displaying time on my SB when not running (time
given by slimserver, not squeezeNetwork)
The other thing to remember, of course, is that if you leave a PC
running slimserver on then you don't need squeezenetwork and you
therefore don't need the ssh connection.

I know the DD-WRT creator has gotten DD-WRT to load on several ASUS
router models.
If he can make a DD-WRT to work on this model you could install
SlimServer on it.

My use of the word dumb was not intended to offend anybody... In
computing terms, a dumb devices refers to a terminal-like behaviour,
where all logic is contained on a server elsewhere. Just like the SB
and the SlimServer :-)

The alarm runs in SlimServer. WOL will wake the server up if you press
the power button on the remote. But if the server is asleep, it can't
activate the SB which would activate WOL.

Squeezebox on the hip? Hmmm, you need to get in touch with the guy that posted that because the stand looked like a handle, that made it a portable unit. Therefore, when you drop it, the vacuum display shouldn't break. It was a design flaw which was discussed at great length and with at times,

no - unfortuntly, just pointing the psp browser to the stream starts a
download that never ends. Sony has shown a couple of examples of
streaming mp3s through RSS feeds but it seems that they must be linked

Blarg, the system just ate my earlier post. Short and sweet version:
I had this problem and fixed it. Problem was exactly as described,
single quotes in song titles or in album names caused duplicate display
in, e.g., album song lists. Super annoying. Always two appearances of
the culprit -

what kind of receiver do you have?
It really sounds like the receiver is malfunctioning - it seems it is
losing the s/pdif signal when it goes silent. It's not something I've
heard of but I can think of a few possible ways it might happen. You
might want to try the optical connection instead.
Also do you see any indicator lights on the receiver changing as the
sound comes in and out?
