After enabling MIP, SS has spent the last night scanning my music
without ever finishing, but came up with mm-icons which led to empty
playlists.
OK, I set up MusicIP as a service as described in the thread.
Now in MusicIP preferences/services the services (API and UPnP
checked)are not running
Since the SB2 and SB3 are virtually identical in hardware and firmware
why not try to re-program the Xilinx in the SB3
Make SB3 has a proper wired connection to the server. Try holding down
the '1' button on the remote right after you plug power into the SB3. It
should respond with programming

Up to yesterday, I could listen to WCBS using there underlying stream
address. They have now wrapped access in a flash player - and I can't
find the stream and don't know if it even exists in a form Slim can
play.

My album art also populates extremely slowly (a similar rate to yours).
This is on a dedicated server which is usually extremely fast. I've
been a little disappointed by the Album Art stuff in 6.5.0, it's
certainly more feature rich than it used to be but it's so slow as to

I've just installed the latest version of SlimServer on two separate Mac OS
X boxes. The install goes successfully, launch the server, hit the 'web
access' button, Safari launches and is unable to contact the server.
Is there something I'm missing here? Seems pretty straightforward.
I've used this before (not on slimserver though), should hopefully just
be a case of changing the DB name, order by, dbinfo etc.

If you are using MusicMagic (now MusicIP) you can use a single instance
of Slimserver / MusicIP but set up filters to exclude songs or sets of
songs for your mixes.
We also have two very different music libraries and tend not to want to
cross mix, so we have a top level directory Media then two
you could do a search on Roku here, there have been many threads.
Basically, this setup is not supported by Slimdevices at all (npt
surprisingly). I think the Soundbridge appears like a SliMP3 (see here
for details on it:

Yup, definitely possible (File contains Siduhe). You can also filter
by rating (the rating in MIP) which works well.
The limitation is that you can't combine filters in Slimserver - i.e.
i stand corrected. not payed that much attention to the Roku devices :)
