the status image to use thumb.jpg in hreftemplate. When SlimServer is
upgraded with this file be overwritten and hence back to using
cover.jpg reduced to 100x100?

I have an SB3 running Slimserver 6.5.1 on my basement computer.It is a
wired connection not wireless. I listen during the day to a variety of
radio and sample my 600 or so albums .At the end of the day I turn off
the SB3 by the remotes power button.
The next morning it cannot find the slimserver.
I have the latest SlimServer 6.5.2 on my PC and this has upgraded my
Squeezebox to firmware version 76. However on a Linux box I have
SlimServer 6.3.1 running and when I connect my Squeezebox it insists on
downgrading the firmware to version 55 and then does a factory reset.

Yes, its about the settings in the webinterface. And of course I´m
totally aware of the fact, that we are only talking about limitign
access to the slimserver process itself, not a generall firewall
replacement. (Running on a Mac btw)

I'm not sure of the definitive answer, but I'd consider it a feature.

drive is, what it does, how it works, or how to make one.

I may have lost connection whilst doing a firmware upgrade recently. I
think the upgrade restarted and went OK. The output level from my
squeezebox is now about 20 percent of what it was before, this is into
my meridian D600 speakers and also the headphone output. Are the two
events connected or
Is your volume the same level it was before? And you upgraded from what
to what? (The volume scale was changed not too long ago).
You can reload the firmware at any time by pressing and holding
brightness.

yes, it will.
Some of us have had this kind of problem, and I don't think it has been
diagnosed.
Have you also tried
pressing and holding the Power button or
pressing and holding the Left button (I think this may only work when
the SB is alive, and then it gets to the setup menu)?

I just set up Icecast 2.3.x with Ices 2.x to stream music from my
regular stereo to Squeezeboxes in the house. It's working pretty well,
except my Squeezeboxes (SB1G, SB2, SB3) all show the .ogg filename
from the Icecast URL instead of the Artist/Title metadata that Icecast
is sending along with

I am having all sorts of problems conecting my squeezebox to my
network... yes I have Norton Int Sec 2006, but I have done the
supposed fix with no joy.
What I want to do is start from scratch, I have uninstalled slimserver,
but it leaves a file in program files which I cant get rid of. If I

wireless ethernet adapters to work properly with my units.
Thought I would ask here before going to eBay. If you do not need
wireless, these will be very good value (and wired is much better if

require a user to log in.
After you turn the services on, go to Accounts -- Login options, make
sure to DEselect Automatically log in as ... and that should get you
where you're going.

Are you using DHCP or a static IP on your Squeezebox?
It sounds to me like your router / DHCP server is not renewing the
lease for your Squeezebox.
For starters, try setting up your SB with a static IP.

I'll give it a go, but it's just weird that the SB3 would have the
problem and not the Transporter when both devices are on the same
network with the same settings.
