Yup, iTunes can do that if you let it! mp3tag is great - I think you'll
find it speeds things up for you. Always back everything up first
though, if you're planning to do a mass-tagging!
I found all manner of weird tags on some of my CD rips that I wasn't
even aware of. mp3tag will show show
Cracked it now with all security disabled. Will now start to switch on
the various security elements. Not sure what was causing the problems.

I tried connecting a W2K laptop to the back of my SB3, in order to
access the internet. I did not get any internet connection.
When connecting the laptop with the same cable directly to my router it
works.

You should use a crossover cable for this.
Did you enable bridging on the SB3?
Does the SB3 have access to SN? This means DNS and gateway are set

Most ports these days are auto-sensing, so you might as well try
SteveEast's advice with your present cable and see if it works.
Otherwise yes, try a crossover cable.

The cache folder you've found is indeed the one. If you've done loads
of small tagging changes SS sometimes misses them, so it's a good habit

conencting only to the copy of slimserver running on your Mac.

It looks like the new McAfee Data Backup utility (Ver 1.2) that I think
was installed in my last Comcast McAfee SecurityCenter update (Ver 7.2)
wants to listen on port 9000 as well (not sure why yet). I guess it
won out over SlimServer the last time I rebooted.

Some of the album art I have is very large, especially if it's an old
record and someone has gone to the trouble of making a nice scan, I
just throw it in the directory with the music.

to see what sockets it is listening on. I guess how it's

slimserver? Have you any other firewalls installed that may be
blocking access? Anything that might be turning on via anti-virus?
