original post. I did later on by the proper 5V power cords for my other
two SBs, and they're both working great. The SB that I fried, however,
does not work with these cords, which is why I think it's fried. I

not even udp. I haven't done a remote SS via open ports in a long
time. Maybe something is broken. I started using openvpn a couple

Bridging in general works fine, the one area which is sometimes
problematic is DHCP, and it's usually a limitation of the router/dhcp
server in question rather than the SB. A static IP therefore may well
help.

yes indeed, if you're in the UK, and I believe it's the highest quality
was of doing that (~100Kbps (Radio 3: 128Kbps) WMA, although Listen
Again is generally higher ~200Kbps MP3).

Works fine for me - the only time I have missing programs they are

Oh my gosh...
My Squeezebox has been running perfectly for ages. It was set to start
as a Windows XP service and always started when I booted the computer or
came back from Hibernate. Even WoL worked perfectly (and I could even
hibernate using the Server Power Control plugin).
I've put off
With the Iplayer plugin installed, I'm really happy with the BBC. It
seems to be a simple, very good piece of work that Logitech should be
doing.
There's the odd missing programme but very rarely. Hopefully, it will
continue to work like this.

All is good until I try to add the Squeezebox to my SqueezeNetwork
account, when the PIN is rejected. I get the message There is a
problem registering your player: a conflict exists with this players
factory programmed ID. Please
We're not quite in the dark ages here in Europe you know (well, except
maybe financially ;-) ). I've travelled from here all over the place
with the standard canon chargers and a variety of leads to plug them in
and they work pretty much everywhere.

There are options other than AlienBBC and IPlayer plugins, although I
also use both for ad-hoc Listen Again (in truth I almost always use
the iPlayer plugin rather than Alien these days as I find the
schedule-based navigation more intuitive and the streams are better
quality).
For live streams
My current favourites are set from the
Internet Radio Local London menu.
I'm guessing they are provided by RadioTime and use the same live
streams as used by the BBCiPlayer plugin but with added features such
as logos and programme information.
Looks good on SqueezePlayer :)
