OK, try this then: Dabs are offering an SBC for £120.53 inc. of VAT.
They don't give any indication of the number available, but they are in
stock:

As I'm now up to 5 SB devices, I'm wondering if there's a web interface
that makes it easier to interact with all of them at once (ie. without
selecting each individually from a drop-down menu to adjust
power/volume). I'm thinking of something like the iPeng player screen,
but ideally integrated
I'm a Windows guy, too, but I don't see a problem with Apple much.
My question is why run SBS on the latest version of Windows if it
adequately runs on practically nothing.
Do most of you folks share your work computer with SBS or do you have a
dedicated server computer in a closet somewhere?

It seems this 'flow' could be greatly improved by just displaying all of
the basic player controls (at least power and volume) in a single
place.
Does any of the existing interfaces (or custom interfaces other than
iPeng) do this? Would anyone else find this useful?
My system is an Atom single-core 1.6MHz (Intel 945GC) with 2GB RAM,
although only 1.6GB is available because 0.4GB is allocated to a virtual
machine, which was suspended while running these tests. The OS is Ubuntu
8.10 Desktop, and running SBS is about all the machine does.

Has anyone used PC Tools Firewall? It seems to be messing around with my

Vista. It seems sometimes to stop my SB3 connecting to the server, and
sometimes to stop my SB3 playing when it is connected. I have gone into
Hmmm... well either we're the only 2 interested or it's a slow day on
the forums. :-)
I wonder if it's worth submitting the suggestion to the SB guys... not
sure what the process is for 'suggestions', do they go via the bugzilla
route?
Alternatively maybe a post in the developers forum to see
I would like to see something like this - a kind of 'Slim Central' app
handling the basic function of all defined players. Perhaps with individual
control over each player including sync status as well as some master
overall volume/mute capability?

Heh yes, one of my always-postponed items, I don't expect we'll have
any time to improve UPnP until someone in Marketing decides it's a

to do it. However, we are totally swamped with Radio and

Yes, enhancement requests also go to http://bugs.slimdevices.com/. It's
a good idea to label it clearly as an enhancement

I'm having connectivity issues between receiver and server today after a
new os install (ubuntu 8.4 lts). I tried contacting customer support and
received connectivity issues there too! Every second word was missing in
our conversation making communication impossible. I tried on a home

I cannot log into Sirius on my SB3. I have an online account and can
log into it but I cannot get past the log in screen on the SB3. I
assume I don't need a premium account to do this, correct?

This sounds like a DNS error of some sort. Maybe Logitech could fix
this issue in a subsequent release by imbedding the ip address of
www.mysqeezebox.com into the firmware rather than requiring a DNS
lookup.

You want to download VistaStumbler from
http://www.suriv.be/downloads/default.asp
Software is free and has same functionality as Netstumbler except it
works with Vista, at least Vista 32; I do not know if it works with
Vista 64.

The reviews of the A2 and A5 on these forums (and elsewhere) are
overwhelmingly positive. However, if you read a good number of them
you'll notice consistent references to the bass being ramped up. I
really enjoy my A2s, but that given their bass response I would be
reluctant to place them on

Or consider Homeplugs: http://www.homeplugs.co.uk/acatalog/faqs.html
If stringing cable is feasible, I'd advise going that route vs.
homeplugs. Throughput is dependent on the wiring in your house. I
found them to be less reliable than wireless in my case, at least for
