Yes, I guess you're right. Now that I think about it, using a splitter
would half the power of the signal, negatively impacting the sound.

Just noticed that these have been reduced to £50 in the UK.
Also Ubuntu Netbook Edition is running on it - with caveats:

Just installed SqueezeCommander v0.9.4.1 on a HTC Legend (android 2.1)
using the android market.
Looks like all is working as it should.
But for me there is one thing not working, volume control.
Im using the IR-Blaster plugin for Squeezebox server.

Right now, SqueezeCommander does not recognize fixed volume players,
i.e. it always shows the volume slider. I've already planned to change
the slider to +/- buttons in this case, but it's not implemented yet.
But you can already use the hardware volume keys on your phone to
I had a wired SB3.
I found a TP-LINK Wireless G Mini-PCI, SMT-GSC Connect TL-WN560G on
ebay (approximately $18 shipped) and installed it.
I now have a wireless SB3.

Thanks for the quick replay.
Did not try the hardware buttons. Why not! Maybe because im left
handed and already did see the slider on the screen. The hardware
buttons are always on the wrong side for me. But yes, they work fine.
For the background item, ticket is added.
Thanks for the nice
I beleive (have not tried it) that TL-WN360G will also work.

INPUT_BNC_COAX_SPDIF
I just made this up following my best guess from other posting.

Or is one (preferably server) wired?
A double WiFi hop could mean a slight delay.

SBS cannot control remote players which use stream.mp3 as it is the

start / stop use a player emulator such as Squeezeplay, Softsqueeze or

I don't understand why I'm getting regular audio drop-outs and
rebuffering. It's happened periodically in the past and I assumed it
was a network issue. I switched to a ReadyNAS Duo as my source and
even with the Squeezebox 3 hardwired to the network router I'm having
the problem repeatedly.

The 50GBP price is for the next 2 weeks (I presume to stimulate interest
in the update this week thta adds a few more apps).
Even without changing the firmware - if someone has a Flash app to
control Squeezebox then it could soon be possible to get it onto the
device officially via their new app
