It should be available in Japan, right, as it was some weeks ago when i

Just wanted to ask... how did you get it in Japan? Because it's the very
country why we can't enable the all locations checkbox. Logitech doesn't

Then I can only think of two options:
1) There's something wrong with your Squeezebox Server setup, so that
the automatic volume adjustment ReplayGain has gone haywire. Or
something in that vein.
2) Or there's a hardware error in the output stage of your SB3. In the
latter case, don't throw it

How about using SqueezeCommander or one of the other native apps (some

What kind of legal bullshit is this re-branding the app first?
There's a company called Logitech in Japan which has nothing to do with this
Logitech. Consider it BS, but they've been there before us. Bad luck.

Thanks for the reply's...
I don't think it's a server issue because I can plug a different SB3
into the system and all works well.
What I did notice is that the digital volume control has no effect on
what little sound that I can hear
The sound is clear and not distorted at all, but I have to
So it sounds like ipeng at least is seriously limited, and probably all
the other apps for SB control too.
Not really worth having except for playback -- and that's only as good
as your wifi.

This really isn't an iPeng limitation but one of the server.
Plus, as I said: Expect advanced search to completely go away with
Squeezebox Server 7.6. If you don't believe it, download the beta and
see for yourself, there is
I haven't tried the digital out as I don't have anything to hook it up

If I couldn't keep the advanced search option I would switch to another

The question about how I can get your nice app is still open.
See Jörg's reply. That's your best bet.

Apologies if this has been asked before but I can't find anything
obvious on search.
Can I use an Android phone as a player? I have my recievers in the
kitchen and lounge but want music in the garden.
Also If I have a duet downstairs is it OK to put a touch in the bedroom

Subsonic does a great job of streamin music to your android phone.
If you library is flac then it will transcode it to mp3 (even ogg I
think).
The files stay on the phone too so next time you want to listen no
streaming required.
Does require a donation for use over a month thoough.

Advanced Search is in the current 7.6 beta and works like it always did.
I think it was briefly missing when the switch to onebrowser was made,
but that was quickly fixed.

Sure? I admit I currently do directly use the onebrowser svn branch but
that doesn't have it. At least it didn't when I posted this tonight.

Yes, but I think I see what you may be seeing. If you hit 'Search' on
the Home page the subsequent page has no link to Advanced
I've been using Squeezeplay on my laptop to remotely access my SBS for a

When I launch Squeezeplay I select a language and then select

I don't use the software players but requiring a PIN for MySB.com (then
called SqueezeNetwork) has not been used for years.
You may have a very old version of that soft player.

Yes, lots of us. It has been discussed regularly here.
I have both it and iPeng. SqueezePad takes a different approach with a
simplified UI compared to iPeng.
I prefer the flexibility of iPeng though, so
The most reliable method would be to buy a Wireless Access Point from a
computer store, place it near a window facing your garden and connect
it to your existing BT modem with a long network cable. This will
hopefully give you the range you need but the down side is you may need

The majority of people that give 5starts on the AppStore?
Also if you search this forum, you will find plenty of discussions.

Ah. Interesting.
Does this mean that there will also be a CLI interface for that in
onebrowser? Now THAT could be quite interesting!

No idea. Don't you typically have to request a CLI feature like that?

I tried out the Logitech app today which was a big selling point of
Squeezebox to me (I don't want any extra remotes especially ones that
cost £150!) but was a bit disappointed. The layout seems very nice and
it has all the functionality but boy is it slow!

Yep. Because it's a web-app, not a native one.

What do you mean by request? That you have to ask for them?
The problem with the CLI is that it only has two search modes:
1. the search command, which allows you to get artists, albums and
tracks from
