I'm not sure if this is the same thing, If I scroll down my standard
artist list then it does start with # (my first artist is 10,000
Maniacs) but does move correctly on to initial letters.
If I scroll down a Custom Browse list then I just get appear to be the

I solved my problem by doing the following.
use the NET UDAP version 1.0 and not 1.1
launch the command line with an extra argument --local-address=.
from this point on, everything went fine using the examples of
configurations provided.
thanks for your support.

It should fine just being on the same network and subnet, I just stuck
mine into the router and it worked no fuzzing with the pc i using the
bash Shell on My ubuntu desktop .
And disable the firewall !! Completely ! otherwise it would not work at
all .
A common problem for many people using net-UDAP is that the PC (or
laptop) you are using to configure the Receiver has to be in the same

Squeezebox Server?
I mean this:
My Squeezebox Server runs on a Linux box (OpenSUSE 12.1).
Then from the Windows PC, I would control the Squeezebox through UPNP,
using Whitebear.
It is working if the Whitebear runs on same
