thanks for your helpful replies.
Just to be clear I'd like to use the SB duet controller if possible as
my main controller and I'd like to use a good streaming service where
the albums / tracks / artists / similar music / upcoming list etc etc is
all on this controller. I am also in the UK so

Can't match $30, but another alternative is the CuBox:

I got one this morning and the sock firmware will run squeezelite and
supports usb audio and async hifi dacs. It's about 3 times the price of

An alternative is cubieboard ( http://www.cubieboard.org and can bought

unlike cubox no nice enclosure but much cheaper US$49 and has 1Gb RAM

I got one before Christmas but haven't had

Hello,
I am unable to install applets on squeezeplay on the mac.
I just downloaded and installed version 7.8.0 r158
The menu choice for
settings-advanced-Applet Installer
When I click, I can see the button depressing, but nothing happens.
I am still new to squeezebox, plugins and applets.
Hi,
I'm using this app on my Galaxy S3 and the phone vibrates in time to the
music. Has anyone seen this and got any ideas?
It's the same with speaker, headphones or bluetooth headphones. Latest
OS and latest version of the app.
many thanks
Another important item I left out:
ability to use ReplayGain tags. Squeezeboxes can use none, track gain,
album gain, or SMART gain (I use the latter). Smart gain is nice because
if playing an entire album it automatically uses ALBUM gain, but if
playing a mixture of tracks from different

Yes, I ordered one of those too, probably for the same reasons as you
after the issues running a UAC2 DAC on the Pi. Not got mine yet. (But I

The soundoutput analog is set to 24bit 192kHz; testsound is O.K.
System W7, 64bit
I installed first LogitechMediaServer-7.8.0-1353679004.exe from today

Unfortunately that method doesn't work with my dac - setting
dwc_otg.speed=1 means it can't connect. For those dacs using less of

In fact I didn't use the 142

I had a followup email from Olive after I answered some of their
