What about Martini? Pink Martini was used in a lot of Slim Devices

Julf, it's up to you and others to determine what is better, different
or otherwise. I'm about optionswithout options there i

I got Squeezelite to run (armv6 version) everything works fine except
there are some clicks every so often, particularly if I have "top"
running I get a click every time it updates. I tried various -p options
and it makes no difference, I also tried various -b options and again no
difference.

this kind of setup. I have several pl

Update on the BeagleBone, I got the XMOS based board connected to the
rest of the DAC and sure enough it plays music when connected to the BB.
Again no pops or clicks, it's running high speed UAC2 async without any
problems.
That seems pretty definitive to me that this hardware can talk to moder

Why is that better than letting the DAC do it internally?

It migth suffice with an external headphone amp , but I think some of
the USB DAC headphone amps are cheaper ( just avoid nuforce ) .
The problem could be the headphones impedance maybe the circuits in the
laptop could not drive your phones but perfectly well be used as a line
level source .

The OS is two years old and you will probably not get updates for it.
Most Apps currently still support 2.3 since this is such a common issue
with Android devices but

In that price-range I'd strongly suggest a used iPod touch. One of the
many problems with old/cheap Android devices is that they aren't likely
to get OS updates. You can find a 4th generation iPod touch (one
generation older than the current one) for < $100 on Craigslist. It'll
be quite modern

do the same on Android using any available control app and an additional

All of the those apps are running fine on an old Gingerbread (2.3) phone
I have as
Indeed, 255.255.252.0 is a somewhat odd netmask - covering 4 "old-style"
class C networks (up to 1023 hosts). Most home and small office networks
cover one class C - 254 hosts.
If the netmask is wrong on one of the hosts, broadcasts won't work
properly.
