I'm trying to figure this out now...
Is your ickstream system a replacement for Mysqueezebox.com? So, is it a
kind of online server that we'd have to subscribe to if we want to use
the new plugins?
Or are the Plugins real LMS plugins that run locally on our LMS Server
devices (like the

John Doe the hobby developer is one thing, general public in an open

There is another thing, and it's the primary cause why you haven't
Ok...
So, does this come down to replacing the free Mysqueezebox.com with a
paid (or even subscription) ickstream?
I'm mostly after Streaming services like Deezer, Play Music and Wimp, I
can always add radio stations manually...
I have recently retired a buffalo linkstation, running since early 2006,
with a zyxel 325v2 running media server 7.1.1.
I have just noticed that when listening to a radio stream when switching
off the squeezebox with the remote the stream does not stop. The modem
is polling and the network

For now it will be free for Squeezebox
For Tidal subscriptions:
$19.99 = £19.99 (i.e. not £12.50).
Apparently, $1 = £1. Again.
I'm sure there must be a perfectly reasonable explanation.

I'm not adverse to paying for a service, it's just a matter of what I
pay for. If I use Deezer, then I pay for Deezer. If somebody creates a
plugin for the Squeezebox/LMS then I'd gladly pay for that as well. Same
goes for other services. I'm just not sure that creating a new platform
We're not targeting this primarily at a DIY crowd or Squeezebox users.

This is standard behaviour and is known as direct streaming. It
happens if you are playing a stream which is native to the player such
as http/MP3 and http/WMA. This will not happen when the streamis
transcoded by server such as a http/AAC stream. This behaviour means
stream goes direct from
Easy way round this is to use a VPN and sign up via the US site = £12
per month.
Also I have noticed that when you sign up for Tidal they offer a 7 day
free trial. If you replace 7 in the URL with 30 you are then offered a
30 day trial!

I have tried connecting an AAC stream but it doesn't seem to like it(It
was radio paradise that alerted me to the problem). I'm now listening to
the OGG stream at 192k which sounds very nice but still doesn't
disconnect so that must be direct streaming as well.
It seems a bit odd

Tried that, but it didn't work - got a sign-on page missing the
7d/£19.99 stuff, then the next page produced a 404 error.

Tried this, but all it does is create an account without a subscription.

This beta service appears remarkably well-baked:

your music files are located and your library is then controllable and
playable on any PC, smartphone or Android mini-PC. They are tentatively

AAC will not work if your server does not have transcoding enabled and
necessary app (i.e. faad). SB3 can play OGG direct but not many stream
that use OGG.
