You're welcome.
The deprecated warning has been traced to the portaudio library.
The issue has been raised with the portaudio developers and they are
currently looking at adding support for the replacement AudioComponent
manager api.

Just got mine by mail today. Setting it up took less than two minutes,
connected via mini toslink to my system. Completely fool-proof. Now I
have to play with it :)

Comments like this just go to show how badly some people misunderstand
the Squeezebox ecosystem.
None of the Squeezebox players were ever Windows devices, and the server
I have two Squeezebox 2s. Recently I noticed one of them has no audio
output in one channel. I tried both the headphone jack, and then the RCA
outputs. Dead.
I am not an electronics guru. *Wondered where I can send this unit for
repair.? *Would it be a power supply?
No idea where to start.
No one repairs them. Tried swapping PSU's (though unlikely to fix
issue)?
Maybe try XILINX Reset:
Unplug power, press and hold down the one (1) button on the remote,
plug power back in (whilst continuing to hold down the one button)

it is an SB3 or Classic - SB2 is more horizontal. There is no official
repair facility but if all works except one of the audio channels - I
suspect a good hifi / electronic repair service might be able diagnose
the problem.

Thanks again Jeff, I was busy all weekend but hopefully can get all the
parts I need to start playing with this ordered tonight and go from
there. I may reach out again once it all comes in.. is it best to just
follow-up on this thread? Somehow I thought the mcap was like double
the price, but

There is a settings folder under c:\users\username\AppData\local
I think it's in local anyway
You need to delete or rename the squeezeplay folder
I can't play it either but none of my existing podcast feeds are
MPEG-4/AAC. They are all MP3. My server is a Synology NAS, no LAME
installed and possibly a very out of date default faad installation. I
listened to this a bit earlier and am I am now interested in this
podcast though ;)

All of the episodes appear to be MPEG-4/AAC LC in an M4A container. This
is true of every random episode I checked back to episode #1, however,
it was not until episode 510 that MediaInfo is showing "Writing
application: iTunes 12.3.0.44" I'm surprised you can play the older
episodes but not the

I went directly to the stream in the browser and inspected the page
elements to find the mime/stream type. I don't know much about it but a
couple years ago had problems with another podcast that the mime type
settings in the LMS types.conf file was unable to handle. There was a

hi,
I was very sad when one of my SB died because they are not easy to find
even on eBay.
Then I started to explore a replacement with a Raspberry, Squeezelite
and Hifiberry DAC.
I am very pleased with the result: you lose display and remote, so you
need pc or smartphone handy, which is not a

That's a good idea. I have an amp that has digital inputs. Something to
try, though I will need the right cables. Thanks.
