Had exactly the same experience with some small (Pi2/3) heatsinks that
had "Genuine 3M heat tranfer tape"
Does not sound like the stuff you had though as it was very thin (Like
sellotape almost) but was BAD at heat transfer
Got some HY910 thermal adhesive from ebay for a couple of quid, works

Yes, it is he ...
The zipp gets an update via the internet when accessed by the libratone
app - there's also a basic web page access *never used it for updates.
The latest firmware gives both airplay 1 and 2 - works well with the
bridge plugins.
There's also
A quick observation about heatsinks and their connection to the CPU.
When I first fitted my 40mm x 40mm heatsink I used some ''thermally
conductive tape' (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075R9RGXF)'. It
seemed to work, but I was suspicious because it seems to be about 1mm
thick, and

I think that philippe_44 has said that the plugin does not work with
Airplay 2.
I just looked at this
Im tempted by that because the SB Radio lives in the kitchen and SWMBO
uses it to listen to Radio 2 - I have presets for more interesting stuff
go me. The C3 is a bit pricey for an occasional use player though. I was
also looking at a Libratone Zipp 2 but I need to know that it will work
with

Sorry - that sounded a bit arrogant. What I should have said is that
the Audio Pro sounds better than the SBR in my opinion. Obviously it
lacks the Squeezebox-dedicated controls and screen of the SBR.

+1. Where have they got the phone numbers from? They're not a mySB.com

Not sure where you'd draw the line between 'cheap' and 'not cheap', but
the 'Audio Pro C3'
is a nice unit. It has a really nice sound, with an app that lets you
adjust bass and treble. I leave mine plugged in as a bedroom
No I want Airplay so it can sync with indoors

Can anyone recommend a cheap current portable (garden etc) Airplay
speaker that is known to work with Phillipes Plugin?
