pause only works for a
real Logitech device and not for the ipad. It doesn't apply when trying
to set it for the iPad.
I guess I'll just have to make sure I always play a track until the end
and not pause mid track when using the iPad as playback device.

Hi,
Thank you for the very quick response.
Yes, I think this workaround will work for me. I've tried it and the
file handle is closed ok when powering the device off after making the
change to the player preferences.
Thanks again for your support.

expected to pay
less than 6 times the value of the item to ship it to the UK. Would it
not be possible to just put it in a padded envelope and send it via
normal mail? I'd be willing to take the risk of losing it - I would
just buy another (or 2, or 3) to replace it.
Thanks,
Dave

x27;t really expecting to pay close to 4x the value of the item in
shipping charge - is there any way these small items can be sent via
normal airmail? If they get lost in transit, I'll buy 2 more - still a
lot cheaper than paying $47 shipping!
Thanks,
Dave

After my experience with the NSLU2, I really doubt that 64MB will be
enough RAM for most people to use this device.
If the RAM can't be upgraded, then I would suggest waiting for one with
a lot more RAM. I'll be first in the queue for one with 256MB :)

the upgrade can be performed
from the Pronto.
For those that are interested, the IR code used is "900D 006D 0002
6E91 20DF 6E91 20DF".
Now I can finally put away the Slim remote and never have to hunt for
it every time I need to update the firmw
r web interface
to perform the firmware upgrade? This would resolve the issue.

eally wish they would fix this soon - this is the one thing that is
spoiling my enjoyment of the otherwise excellent SB2. I am at the point
that I am considering moving my old SB1 back in to my main A/V system.
Sean, other developers, please take a look at this before I go insane!

memory of the Lacie device - is it just a
standard memory module? I assume that it is only the rack mounted
version that can run SlimServer and not the "mini" version.

reflashing the device and
formatting the HDD.
With the Terastation, I understood that the drives were preinstalled
with some software. So, if something goes wrong, do you end up with a
useless, dead $1,000 Terastation? Also, is it easy to recover the flash
if something goes wrong there?
Thanks,

n the server is active.
Previously, one press of the global on / global off button would do the
trick. I would really like to see this fixed quickly, as I didn't expect
a step backwards in this area when I bought my otherwise excellent SB2.
