Question:

I seem to have lost the random play option from the top menu after
installing iPad 1.1.2.I may be missing something simple but I've

I concur with epoch1970 that volume control via IR Blaster needs a
slight rework of the control areas (especially in the now playing
screen)

I'm not fully aware of what integration would involve.
This is a nice-to-have feature but I relalise that there will be higher
priorites. It would be nice to see it on a list to be voted on
though.

Thanks, the PowerLine option is worth considering. I've got a spare high
gain wifi aeriel so I've just ordered an adapter lead so I can connect
it to Receiver input. Ifit works, I'll try to permently fix it to the
Receiver case - not much spare room inside however.

If you really do want to play 5.1 FLACs, then the Dune players are the
only devices I've seen that provide native MC FLAC support. You would
need a processor/amp with HDMI input of course.

I tried the 'official' 7.3.2 SC release on the slim chance that the 7.4
builds I've been using were the cause of the severe analogue disortion.
As expected, no change. I've run out of things to try so its going
back!

I use Foobar for 5.1 to stereo conversion. It appears to do a
reasonable job but I have mot investigated other applications.
For my DVDAs, I rip the stereo mix and compare it with the
down-converted 5.1 mix to see which I like best.

Seems to work OK, thanks. The only concern I have is that when playing

Doesn't the SB3 simply throw away every other data set to 'downsample'
24/96 to 24/48?
It sounds much better if you do the downsampling using Foobar (and the
likes) which make a reasonable job of the process.

Can you wake up the server with other devices? If so I don't know
what's going on.
Is the server wired to your network?
Are the Bios settings enabled to allow the server to be woken by
external devices?

That's a good point. I do have a colleague with some phones around the
same impedance as the 280s so I'll see if I can borrow his to try.

How have you got your SC configured to start and run?I had a similar
problem a couple of weeks ago. In the SC start-up options I had SC to
