6.2.1 that would have caused the ginormous CPU spikes that I was
seeing? (The spikes seem to have been the problem, and went away after
rollback.)
Sorry for the obscurity of the question. I wish I understood the

Any recommendations for an inexpensive receiver? It just needs to take
a signal from the SB2 and a stone age CD player and drive a powered
subwoofer and a pair of bookshelf speakers.
