I broke my install of 7.3.3 on Vista by installing Cisco Speed Meter.
This added a bucket-load of drivers in the network stack, and triggered
all manner of halts and rebuffering.

There is a workaround which keeps me happy for the moment. I added this
line to the AlienBBC plugin and it works!
Is it possible to edit something similar into convert.conf so
Squeezecenter can handle the stream without the AleienBBC plug-in?

foobar2000 reported that the native stream was 48000Hz, so I removed

A feature of 1.1 is able to present server-generated menus, so you can
use the CustomBrowse plug-in and create menus just as you want them.

Once you get past the 8-in-1 learning remotes you need state memory and
outcome-based scripting. Even with virtual squeezeboxes, it would be
hard to implement scripted actions that dropped a screen, switched on
projector, set AV amp to correct inputs etc.

How does the applet encode IR commands?
My Pronto has learnt IR commands, e.g. to set the AV input on the amp
is '5000 0073 0001 0010 0002'.
IIRC the '5000' at the start means the rest is RC5 encoded.

I found that 7.3.1 was server-side resampling 24/96 FLAC to 320kps MP3.
The 7.3.2 nightly (I got 24415) had re-written the convert.conf file to
implement FLAC-FLAC resampling. Worked fine once I'd tracked down
cygwin1.dll from the SoX distribution.

I changed the Artist tag to The·The on 4 albums and iPeng 1.03 stopped
crashing very time it was started :)
I see that any artist beginning 'La' (LaSalle Quartet, La Stagione
Frankfurt) gets leading space(?) when iPeng lists the Artists.

Don't think so, they draw less than 10W when stopped/playing/whatever
and are never really 'off', always chatting to the SqueezeCenter.

Oops, not so good after all.
The 1.03 app crashes out after 20-30 seconds regardless of what action
I take. Reset iPhone and reinstalled app, same problem.

Album Art in iPeng 1.0 has packed in :(
Comes back if I re-install the app. on the iPhone. Then goes after I've
rescanned with SqueezeCentre. Flushing the Cache on iPeng doesn't fix.

can you give me a bit more detail?
So, when there's no artwork the UI goes unresponsive. Pauses for 10-15
seconds on pretty much all UI interactions.
It feels like co-operative multi-tasking where one of the threads is
blocking for 10-15 seconds on a time-out before releasing.

As I said, you need to use the menus to have Boom connect to the
SqueezeNetwork, then navigate to Settings-Player PIN.

The Controller is superior to iPeng and Squidgy IMHO.
Usability, speed and customisation need for classical collections are
superior at the moment. Not to say that the apps can't/won't improve.

Only Squidgy is publicly available; I doubt the beta-testers for the
other apps will comment until released on the AppStore.
As of now, I find the Controller with CustomeBrowse a much more viable
proposition.

The TP is software and hardware system. CompSci can yet provide provably
correct solutions for a system of systems. I don't recall my TP bombing
out that badly; who hasn't had to take the battery out their phone,
reboot Windows, hard-reset iPods...

Peeps are using Google Chrome for SqueezeCenter, set-up as an
application from Chrome. Very, very fast javascript engine.
Usual caveats that Google will steal your mojo etc.

SBR wake-on-LAN certainly works from firmware 42; I can press the front
panel button when blue and my Vista machine wakes from S3 and S5 (soft
off).
No idea about SBC initiated WOL when running in hybrid mode and SBR is
the wi-fi Access Point.

I have some sympathy with noobs with this kit. I just factory reset my
SBC and then found that the menu ordering of the 'home' menu is now
following the Menu Sort Order values I set in CustomBrowse. Bouncing
the server now and again pays too.

solution will be ideal. IIRC the DAC/analogue drive of the Airport
