Note that MySQL isn't working - also that you have McAfee running. There
are several threads here where McAfee has been reported as stopping this
running - the fix IIRC is to tell McAfee to ignore certain file types
used by MySQL...

So that sounds like slimserver isn't running. Is it showing up in the
list of tasks in task manager?
If not, try starting from a command prompt window... this way you will
also see any error messages there might be on startup.

In a word, no - sounds pretty dangerous to me! You might instead want
to consider using the zap feature which adds the song to a special
zapped list which you can deal with later (I think there is a plugin
which will stop zapped files playing).

If you are streaming WAV that's pretty much worst case for the wireless
network - perhaps you have a new source of interference nearby?
Try setting the server to allow it to send FLAC streams instead of WAV,
that's a little bit easier ... or a different wireless channel.

Have you looked inside at the wireless module (IIRC its a distinct board
that is plugged in - you could even swap it with your good unit to see
if the fault follows the board.
One fall back, instead of buying a new unit, might be to get a cheap
Wireless repeater if you can find one...
