I had the exact same problem with Rhapsody on Monday. Went and did an update on my slimserver software to the latest version, rebooted the classic, watched it update the firmware and everything now works fine. Hopefully this will work for you. -- gtcharlie

[slim] No Sound

to start songs but nothing comes out of the speakers. The equalizer shows the music playing but nothing. Anyone have any ideas? I am running Vista on the computer but that doesn't seem to be the problem. -- gtcharlie

cable? :-) For anyone who is having a similiar problem I guess checking your physical connections first isn't a bad idea. If I had looked closely at my receiver in the beginning I could have solved the problem a lot faster. -- gtcharlie

As much as I would like to separate the player from the MarketPlace that doesn't seem possible. I am spending $15 a month already on Rhapsody to Go which I really like and use to stock my two sons MP3 players. I need my player to be compatible also. -- gtcharlie

actually try to play music through the squeezebox. It shows all my music but when I hit the play button it says it is playing but nothing happens. When I switch to my rhapsody account through squeezenetwork everything is fine and music plays. Any ideas why slim network won't work? -- gtcharlie

I understand the upgrades but why can I no longer switch between Rhapsody and slimserver without upgrading firmware every time? Things have been working fine until last night and I have changed no settings so I can't figure out what to do next. -- gtcharlie

Thanks. That is exactly what I will do. I didn't realize that the upgrade was necessary to resolve the situation. I have not had any problems with 6.5.1 so hopefully the same will hold true for 6.5.2. -- gtcharlie
