once installed and operational. This platform is significantly more economical than the other alternatives, both in purchase cost and ongoing operations (due to extremely low power consumption). PM me if interested in learning more or sharing ideas on this. -- jst1 http://house-server.com

it on that folder, but on the parent folders as well, starting with /home/username. Otherwise SlimServer can't even reach the folder it'd be allowed to acces. Michael So that means that I need to have the SlimServer user have access to the entire /home? Any best practice suggestions? -- jst1

[slim] iTunes on Windows SlimServer on Linux

of this file so that my slimserver on linux can read it? Can the xml file be located anywhere else? I rip CDs and organize tags with iTunes, and use SlimServer to stream to a SqueezeBox and remote players over an ssh tunnel. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -- jst1
