I have 4 SqueezeBox devices - an SB3, a Duo, a Boom, and a Radio.
I'm just using the Radio and the SB3 currently; I hadn't use the SB3 in
awhile, but tried to play something on it some months ago, and it didn't
work.
I wasn't sure if it was the old mini-stereo I was pumping it

So I just installed Orange Squeeze 1.3.1 on my Galaxy Nexus (Android
4.2.1).
Very often (though not every time), when I tried to connect to
mysqueezebox.com or my own LMS server, Orange Squeeze tries to connect,
and then says Timeout waiting for server connection to complete.
Then,
After installing Orange Squeeze, I see it has several processes/services
running, even when I'm not using it. Is there any way to configure it
to NOT have these running if the app is not running in the foreground? I
hate it when apps run all the time like that.

processes, and will just take your word for it. You know, old
engineer's habit, suspicion of unknown processes. :-)

The Now Playing screen of the SB Controller has the rather large album
icon on it, and I would like it not to be there (like you can do on the
SqueezeCenter web interface).
Does anyone know if this is configurable?

I keep reading about the SB Controller's expansion port, but on the
bottom of my controller is what would be some kind of port, I suppose,
but it is blocked off by a piece of plastic.
Is there anything behind that, or are they not actually including any
port there?

SB so that all FF/RW calculations can be done locally (instead of in
SlimServer), and thus provide that smoother-sounding response?

Sounds very severe, but I have 4 SB3's and I restart my slimserver
fairly regularly and I've *never* seen
that is related.
What I see in the packet dump is that the SB is trying really hard to
connect to the server, getting no response. When rebooted it connects
to Squeezenetwork just fine, and when it is logged out of SN, it

So SlimServer is installed, but I just noticed that the SlimServer
service isn't running (although the MySQL daemon is).
Is this normal? Does slim.exe never show as running in XP services?
