Ok, I see the issue.
Can't run the controller with 6.54 though.
At first I didn't know why one would need a controller (received one as
present) but when sitting on the balcony in summer, without direct sight
to one of the SBs, this thing is pretty handy!

Maybe, but the outcome was working fine
So now the design is ok, but the result is bullshit. Great. Don't you
just love computers?

Nothing's stopping you from running 6.5.x, or trying to fix the
limitations in 7.x (but I'd hold off on that; there's been talk of more
Michael, I filed an enhancement request; topa, feel free to add to the
ticket.
Thanks. I've CCed Alan, who's the synchronization guy (but away for a few
more days - please be patient). First let's make sure this is the expected
behaviour.

All of them, depending on how many are switched on. Same setting as with
Ver 6.54 though.
You can't transcode when synchronizing. Bandwidth limiting is just another way
of transcoding.

So perhaps the synchronize UIs should exclude any player that has
bandwidth limiting enabled? In the Default Web UI you could even do
something nice like grey out a player

In this case it's the other way around: it's disabling bandwidth limiting for
synced players. But you're right: this fact should not only be documented in
the code ;-).

But why were these settings possible with 6.54? And I was able to listen
to all three SBs synced ONLY BECAUSE OF this setting! With all three SBs
set to FLAC the network would break down causing the SBs to stutter. So
I limited the one in the kitchen to 320/MP3 and all three worked
together just
But why were these settings possible with 6.54?
Because synching was broken by design?

Hi!
I run Squeezecenter 7.1 without any problems except I apparently cannot
save the bandwith limiting figure. I run three SBs, and to reduce
network load want to cut the bandwith of my kitchen SB, where I'll
never notice if it's FLAC or 320kbs MP3.
SC says LAME is apparantly installed

Are some of your players synced?
