The backlight is specced by its manufacturer for a minimum lifetime of
50,000 hours... but frankly I'd be quite pleased if _I_ ever manage to
outlive an LED.

I'd be interested to know this as I use mine to constantly show the
analogue clock (well, when it's not showing the firmware upgrade screen
anyway). I have begun to worry that I might be shortening the life of
the device considerably.

I'll send you a couple of my 4W GU10 LED bulbs then, I've managed to
outlive quite a few of them

While I realize the controller has an LED backlight, I have found ranges
of lifetimes for such items. Was not able to specifically find anything
about what Logitech claims for the Duet. Wondering whether leaving the
clock on for most of every day is really a good idea or not. Any
info?
