Still plugging away here, have un-installed re-installed etc, deleted a
rogue playlist that was causing problems, but on requesting re-scan it
is still getting stuck on the first track - latest error on the
scanner log is
[11-12-21 05:33:08.0012] main::main (340) Error: Failed when running
main
Latest server log message is also similarly:
[11-12-21 05:44:11.0190] Slim::Utils::Scheduler::run_tasks (163) Error:
Scheduler task failed: K:\a55b8a8c59f49d317093d465b07c: Invalid argument
at /C:\PROGRA~1\SQUEEZ~1\server\SQUEEZ~3.EXEFile/Next.pm line 217.
Thanks for any assistance

Ok, thanks
Just after I posted I attempted a re-scan that has got stuck on the
first track again - opening server notes below:
[11-12-20 05:06:40.1868] main::init (354) Starting Logitech Media
Server (v7.7.1, r33750, Mon Dec 12 09:42:47 PST 2011) perl 5.014001
[11-12-20 05:06:49.0322]
sugest that you unistall the find art plugin then.

Thanks for the feedback
Can't seem to clear the cache folder, but re one of your questions -
yes when I try to re-scan everything the scan does get aborted -
Scanner log comments below:
[11-12-18 13:40:12.4571] main::main (200) Starting Logitech Media
Server scanner (v7.7.1, r33750, Mon Dec 12
oops clearing out the cache you probably have to stopp the server before
doing that ?

Clearing cache via the Control Panel does (should) stop LMS server first
before completing the task.

If you want better logs you should use the web-UI settings advance
logging
And crank up the log levels for the scanner and the artwork handling .
Also check that no rouge lms/sbs process is till running, some crashes
can make the scanner run by itself so worth checking with the task
manager .
Greetings to all
This morning for reasons I cannot recall I decided to take the plunge
and install 7.1.1 (my latest version was 7.5.4 or so)
Intall ok, BUT it produced no songs at all (library is around 1)
and so when I then tried the various re-scan options it seems to stick
on the first
server.log and scanner.log ? Do they tell anything .
does it works if you use Music Folder .
did lms retained it settings, basic settings music folder ? Untick
everything but music do not include pictures or video for the music
library.
Try unc path instead of drive letter ? Is this a network
Thanks for your guidance
Have selected only music -
Server notepad has this, amongst others:
[11-12-17 06:42:10.0302] main::init (354) Starting Logitech Media
Server (v7.7.1, r33750, Mon Dec 12 09:42:47 PST 2011) perl 5.014001
[11-12-17 06:42:14.4618] Slim::Utils::SQLiteHelper::postConnect
Ok the log links are path to complete files you can zip and attach to
here or in a suportcase or bug .
complete scanner.log and complete server.log
Does it ever reports that it is finished when you start a scan is it
aborted ?
If not can you abort and run another clear and rescan everything ?
