Has this been resolved. I use a laptop sharing my desktop's music folder
and it works fine.
Of course you have to allow SlimServer to log on to your other
computer.
Control Panel...
Administrative tools...
Services...
Scroll down to SlimServer and double-click it.
Click the Log on tab
and enter a

Given that you have a drive c I assume you're not using a mac or linux
...
There are a few ways to do it. First, you have to make sure you can
access the Upstairs c:\music directory from windows explorer on the
remote downstairs computer, without regard to slimserver. If windows
cannot see it,
