Yes, connected to but you need Logitech Media Server running on your
local network to control them through the app. I could be mistaken but
I've never been able to see or control a player that's not connected
through LMS.

Has anyone with a Votexbox been able to apply the new firmware? The
official VB 2.2 software is still on LMS 7.7.2, so the fix doesn't

I had tried that without success. But a restart of LMS did the trick,
and now all the players are updated. It's nice to have this sorted out!
I gave each of my kids as Squeezebox controller and they use it as a

I'm wanting to try to do this but need a bit of help as my skills are
less than basic, heh. I'm running 7.8 on my Touch. The index of
update/firmware lists a number of different 7.8 files. There is:
fab4.version.7.8.0
fab4.version.sha.7.8.0
fab4_7.8.0_r16754.bin
Rgro... You may need to put it on a USB stick rather than a sd card.
That's what worked for me...

Any comment on the UE Smartradio firmware version? I've got one of my
radios running that. I guess I can convert it to squeezebox firmware,
but if I can leave it as UE, I would prefer to do that instead.

I installed the beta on my Touch, and I took the risk and installed it
on two Radios (not UE) using the risky custom procedure.
I am happily streaming Rhapsody again on these three devices, and so far
I have not encountered any problems with the firmware, although it's
still early and I rarely
