The MAC and IP addresses are all different (checked in
LMS->Settings->Information).
I had just hoped there was a setting somewhere but I suspect you are
right, it's probably a hardware thing. Now I think about it the analog
output on this SB3 is broken which is a common problem, fixed by
IF PSU is OK, then failing WLAN card can also sometimes have symptoms
described.
A failing WLAN card will stop SB3 from working even if not using WiFi.
SB3 can work without WLAN card so you can test by removing WLAN card and
connecting SB3 to LMS using wired connection. If SB3 still fails,
