I checked out why there was no debug info coming from the scanner. For the record. 1. To get detailed debug info from the scanner in Adavanced/Logging set scan.import and scan.scanner to DEBUG. 2. The log from scanner is in the scanner.log file which is not the same as the server.log file.

FIXED...sort ofeven though I couldnt find the offending tag or issue, the last line of the log generated using the GUI artwork debbuger showed it stopiing on Danity Kane. So I just removed that one album and the entire collection imported fine. No idea whats wrong, all the tags look good,

If you are running squeezeCenter the debug option is not -d_scan -d_import but --debug scan=INFO or possibly --debug scan.import=INFO,scan.scanner=INFO Can you rerun and see if you get better debug messages. -- bpa bpa's

So I enabled the artwork debuging in the gUI and ran a scan, looks like some usefull output maybe! I cant tell if its bombing out on Danity Kane (God why did it have to bomb on that album!) or trying to access the next one.. any ideas? The art in the DK folder and the next folder appears normal.

BTW no I dont use MusicInfoScreensaver or any other plugins. Just the AlienBBC one installed. Those are the exact last bits of data displayed at the end, no otehr output :( If its barfing on the TAG and not the image I'll see if in mp3tag I can see any werid data any any of these tags around

How do you enable normal logging? I enabled debugging in the scan.scanner setting in the advanced - logging window and re-ran a new scan. But I dont have any logs in the squeezecenter/logs path. In fact there is no log path as shown in the advanced tab. What am I doing wrong? -- Itlan

I had the same issue... When I ran scanner.exe in debug mode (in a command window) --d_scan, I found that it was choking on one file over and over. When I moved it out, it finished the scan. c:\path\scanner.exe --d_scan or something like that. -- rambeaux
