Sorry for the late replies.
I never did try to put LMS on the My Cloud. I planned on it, but seemed
to read there's a few other things you have to do. I'm not PC savvy at
all, so I like to keep it as simple as I can. I had to replace the PC I
was using as a music server, so I just bought a
Hi Yesfan70. I'm using my WD My Cloud for storing my music database, but
I still run LMS on my computer. I have managed to play FLAC files over
my local wi-Fi network at home using a number of apps on my iPhone, but
I have not managed to play any FLAC files over the 3G network. I can

For anyone thinking about running LMS on a NAS you can't go wrong with a
decent QNAP. There is a simple installer and they just work!

Thanks for your reply.
I have a few questions. Hope you don't mind
1. Do you run LMS on the My Cloud drive or on your computer? I
understand you can do either?
2. How do you backup your music database on the My Cloud drive?
I currently have 3 x USB2 WD My Book drives which I use for
1. Yes, can do either or both, some run multiple instances of LMS on
several different platforms. Running LMS on two different computers can
be a good troubleshooting tool (if/when needed).
4. EAC is fine.

I decided to get a WD My Cloud NAS drive today. I've got it connected to
my network. I'm planning to continue running LMS on my PC and just have
the music database on the My Cloud drive.
How do I configure LMS to see the My Cloyd NAS?
When I go into My Computer, the NAS appears as drive Y. But
You may need to make that Y a -permanent- drive letter mapping. How
you do so depends on which OS you are using:

Or, it could be as easy as restarting LMS. I think I'd make the map
permanent anyway assuming it's not.
Thanks for your help. I think I've managed to get it working.

I've just been looking at Western Digital web site and see that they
have a product called My Cloud which is esentially a 4Tb HDD which you
connect via your router. I was wondering if anybody has been using this
for storing their Music for playing on their SqueezeBox?
As it appears to connect
