I'm concerned when you said that the two units had the same MAC address. Was the same number printed on two labels? Did the labels match what the software said the MAC addresses were? What were they? -- dean dean's

No, you don't need to change the slimserver at all to add remove squeezeboxes. This is because it's designed to have more than one attached. All you need to do is setup the new squeezebox, tell it where your server is and you're done. -- SuperQ

if you're showing a player with a 127.0.0.1 address, it probably means you were running softsqueeze on teh same machine as your server. You can tell it to forget each existing player individually and then set up your new hardware player and you'll be good to go. -- twylie Thecus N5200 -
