The main issues would be Notice and Ownership, to get hold of the
Content before losing access to it. I am a moderator on a forum and we
got shut down by our Host without notice, and had to fight to at least
copy off our content. Then, we also needed to migrate from a "discus"

Okay, let's all sit still in this boat and have a quiet conversation
about the future of this forum. If it is so that the days of this forum
are counted because sooner or later Logitech will shut it down, wouldn't
it make sense to move it to an independent server -before- that
happens?
