found the pricing reasonable and the staff are superb. It's basically
a warehouse with a front desk. You go up and order what you want,
pay, then move to the other desk

Scan Computers (http://www.scan.co.uk/) do a similar things in Bolton.
And they do stock SBs :)
180 quid isn't bad, that's about 360 canadian and I certainly wouldn't
see getting SB3 for less than that here once you factor in taxes and

We have a lot of good online stores in the UK. Novatech and Scan are

Stoke-on-Trent)

the prices are usually different between the usa and europe etc
becaause:
(1) the slim devices web site is only going to sell these things at the
retail price becuase otherwise shops would complain if the mail order
and shop price differed (shops could refuse to stock the goods).
(2) the retail
Quite frankly this is starting to get on my nerves.
It's one thing to ask to immediately change prices according to
exchange rates. But the Euro/Dollar situation is kind of ridiculous
now. There's no way that the European prices can be justified when
compared to the US ones.

Even though I am here in the U.S. I have to agree with you guys, those
prices are exorbitant and come across as a bit arrogant. By
overcharging not only do you lose some customer goodwill/loyalty, you
open the door for more competitors.
To be fair, maybe someone from Logitech can explain the

Aren't these things manufactured and imported from China? If so,
Don't forget that in the US a deal is a deal. Many US resellers have
restocking fees that apply if the customer decides to return his unit.
This does not hold true for many countries outside the US. For instance
in Finland, any seller must BY LAW take back a consumer unit for FULL
REFUND if the
Logitech / SD products are hardly the only ones in the world where the
European price is considerably more than (US price x exchange rate).
Most things just cost more in Europe, for a number of reasons already
listed (wages, taxes, return policies, etc.). And it's not just the
Euro zone -- I've

I don't know if you've ever bothered to research this, but shipping
costs aren't simply directly proportional to distance travelled. The
country of entry matters, as does the type of product
it's the same here, they hike the price's in europe too.
You have my support.
In Eu they simply made 1 dollar= 1 Euro =10 SEK (Swedish kronor)
Sombody at logitech must calculate the EU prices with software that
only handles integers ;-)
i don't see how the increase can be justified.
It can't,
