Did you try re-installing everything from scratch?

There have been mention in a few threads that AV software (especially
AVG) has been quarantining scanner.exe. Try checking on that.

I have been running fine for a month. I have installed music IP on my
system to have a play with - could this be interfering?

Please give us some more lines from the log file while you run a scan. Set
logging to debug for scan, scan.scanner and scan.import.

Hi,
I'm right now facing the same problem and I don't have additional
plugins loaded, beside what's in the package. I wiped everything and
installed again, but it's still the same behavior.
I'm running XP and everything was fine until yesterday.
Is there any solution available already?

And as you're on a Mac - did you install SC for everybody or only yourself? You
should install it
I've just started having the same problem. I can't get sc7.0 to rescan
my library at all. I tried setting the automatic rescan function and
that doesn't work either. are others having this problem?

After upgrading to 7.01, it was failing to scan on a clear and rescan,
seeming to hang up on the first file in the music folder. This was
resolved when I downgraded to 7.0 official release.

When looking at the logs, it looks like it rescanned
I think I figured it out. I was running MySQL Administrator at the same
time. Slimserver didn't like it.
