I have my MP3s on drive F: and have started ripping my cds as FLAC on
drive G:
My music folder is set to Drive F:, I have one playlist in my playlists
folder set to one of the Albums on drive G: hoping that this will allow
slimserver to scan all of drive G: but it only results in that one
Is there a work-around that will allow me to get slimserver to scan all
of G: or will I have to link a playlist to each individual album ?

In your Music Folder (F:) place a shortcut to the G: drive. You
shouldn't need the playlist.

Thanks for your help! I use wav format. no tag. Chinese can be
displayed on web UI but not on SB2. Of the folder has Chinese
character, SB2 cannot detect the folder. If the folder is in eng and
the songs in wav format use chinese character as file names, it shows
something like

Hello,
I have the same problem. I ripped and used my cd collection on
a Mac so Gracenote even include some chinese character (for
Kitaro) and both iTunes and Slimserver work well with them.
For some reason I switch these duties to a PC (xp mce 2005) and
while iTunes PC has no problem playing
Is this wakeup the server when the squeezebox asks?
Or wakeup the squeezebox when the PC user asks?

I have to say that given the choice of buying a track from some outfit
that in no way benefits the original artists or just getting it via
p2p, I'd go for the latter. Admittedly, there are probably many
recording deals out there that mean that artists no longer benefit from
