Also, if you are on Windows, have a look in the application event log,
there are sometimes useful clues there.

I have a slimp3 and sb2 and use them synced together sometimes. I only
get dropouts on the slimp3 when browsing artwork pages with more than
just a couple of covers to display (e.g. browse by album).

1) Reconfirmed that the m4a files do not play.
2) Did a SS uninstall and deleted the program directory. Installed
