Other than sound quality, why is the SB better than the Roku? Don't get
me wrong, I'm all for the SB. In fact, I've just bought my 2nd SB2.
But where I live, I can't test anything. Even my first SB2 was bought
on faith.
Anyway, I just had a look at the Roku website. I must admit that the
Sorry, folks, as you will have guessed, that wasn't supposed to go to
the whole list, it was meant for triode.

A friend of mine just purchased a SB2 (based upon my recommendation) and he
loves it except for one thing. The switcher that SlimDevices uses is throwing
out so much RFI that he has to unplug it to listen to radio. This is both AM

Well it's unlikely to be localhost as I've never seen slimserver

Anyhow, to view the web interface on a PDA you just need to use a

I'm posting this in praise of the Random Play plug-in (thanks kdf!). I
figured that beginners might not know about it so that's why I'm
posting in the General section. This plug-in *really* should be made
part of the standard installation.
Here's a story that reflects why I feel this way:

I may be going daft, but I just cannot find out the address of the pda

making sure that serverIP is replaced with the IP address of the computer
That was it, I was having a daft moment. All sorted now thanks

All being well we should be going into production in September if all

I think using the work suppport is a bit of a stretch :) Their
devices work with it (5.x only IIRC), to some extent.
Speaking of which, if SS is open source, does Slim Devices get paid any
royalties or licensing fees

Great info and thanks for the responses. I think I'll give the 6.x
branch some more time to mature and stay with 5.4.1 for now.

Mr. KDF guru,
The following settings work great when used in conjunction with your
Random plugin. But of course they are not optimal when using other
menu items on the SB2; especially the 1 second screensaver delay.
