Hmm, 10-20ms, perhaps it is doable.
I realise that both getting the initial sync precise and then
maintaining it would best be done with firmware support. I suspect that
firmware change may be needed in the end but here is an outline of how
it could possibly be done without it.

network is all cat5, no wireless yet. So the SB's have cat5 going to a
switch. There is no software for my broadband, the guy set it all up on
his laptop so I guess the setting are stored in the dish bit. I just

This is old, but since I'm a new SB user I'd like to throw this out
there again.
It seems that if you have multiple bitrate versions of music it is
almost necessary to display it, but it is unnecessary and a waste of
space to display all of the digits. Perhaps a shortened Bitrate field

The licensing fees seem reasonable to me. I am happy to pay a couple of
extra $ to cover the cost.
I recently bought 2 of the new backlit remotes from the SlimDevices site
which incl. postage came to 43.74 GBP.
But there was an extra payment to UPS of 21.29 GBP.
Presumably for VAT customs, so altogether 2 remotes cost me 60 GBP
!!!, which came as a bit of a shock.

I've got a large iTunes library, now outdone by CD's ripped by me. I
hope Slim Devices choses to support non-DRM ACC files. Of course I have
no idea how many of my 2,000 iTunes songs come under the new agreement
with EMI, or if any other companies will go along with this.

Under player settings Basic Settings Screensavers you can set the
screensaver to use when playing to the Date and Time Screensaver.
But

ScreenSaverSwitcher will alternate between arbitrary screen savers (ie,

add support for aac in firmware.

OK. So I think you are confirming my question. ??? Currently you are
unable to view a given artist's tracks under a given genre when first
browsing by genre.
So for example, If I wanted to view Johnny Cash's tracks that are
tagged as Country Genre, I can't until this bug is fixed with
MusicInfo screensaver will do exactly what you are looking for.

I'm not sure what you mean about the proper playlist though. My SB3
now just displays Baroque Music while tuned to Otto, whereas before
it used to display composer-artist-title tags for the music.

a bug that was recently fixed. I tried the fix and it's still funky. It
may simply be user error or another not so intuitive feature.
I think I know what's going on.
I boot everthing up clean. I hit random song and it adds

that annoyed me. When you paused, stopped, or turned off for as little
as a minute the server would disappear.
This may only apply to people that let their server go to sleep and use
Wake-On-Lan.
The problem was very obvious

website anymore. By 'a proper playlist', I meant an m3u file or
something that won't change, but where they can change the real stream
address within it without breaking things.
