I was having re-buffering issues as well. Turned out my problems were, 1
interference and 2 weak Access-point. I live in Amsterdam and there are
SO many wlan's around me that the biggest problem for me was
interference. I used wifiradar (Linux) to see what channels were being
used around me and

Hi there,
I just started to watch http://twitter.com/mysqueezebox - and - as I'm
not used to twitter at all - it rather confuses me.
Could you give some guidance on whats the best way to use it (without

Subscribe to the RSS feed. Doesn't require an account, and you'll get the
tweets anyway.
Should I just ignore this ?
I do so.

I use Hamachi. It has not seen much development in the past few years

You do not specify which model player.
The SB2, SB3, Boom, Duet and Transporter do not support AAC natively
and need a local SBS to transcode.
Radio and Touch do support AAC so they can play the station when using

Currently running 7.4.1 release on Acer Aspire easyStore H340 WHS.
My unit says Squeezebox v3 on the bottom.
Forgive me, but what is SBS?
Does this mean that I will not be able to play the stream with just my
Squeezebox connected to my network? I.e., will I have to have my
computer running too? :-(

SbS is SqueezeboxServer.
SBS is Squeezebox Server, the local software that plays music files.
If you want your SB3 to play AAC streamed radio, you will need a local
computer running Squeezebox Server to transcode the stream from AAC to
MP3.
Sorry.

Boom - Controller - Touch (on order)
Hello,
I have signed up for Sirius/XM online couple of days ago to get my

There seems to be a couple of different issues related to this. The
first issue can be resolved by defining more than one account for each

have to say I'm very impressed with the vortexbox player, for the first

N. The remote is a lot nicer the the Boom remote.
I recently helped a friend set up three dented-box SB3's - I honestly
didn't see anything wrong with the boxes and the SB3's were fine.

Its been a while... I thought I'd check back to see if anyone ever
figured out a way to get Now playing displayed in the status message

other way around

I got all excited when I added the Facebook app to the msqueezebox.com.
It turns out, it does absolutely nothing.. just a limited method of
seeing what you can already see on facebook.com.
How can we start doing more useful things like telling MSN Live,

Try bringing up the context menu. How you do this depends on the

An alternative is to set up Last.fm scrobbling, then use the RSS from
