I have just 'discovered' the ability to play random albums through
'Random Mix' and find this a good way to expose myself to music that I
would not normally pick from choice. However, is it possible to play
just one random album without another automatically being selected when
the first one is
Maybe. I thought about that, too. But you are probably right, unlike me,
most people will not have both iPeng for iPhone and iPeng for iPad on
the iPad so there should not be confusion.

Hi, if I create some folders within my favorites, how can I add an album
to a specific folder within my Favorites? All added tracks/album get at
the Favorites top level. Can't get them into a folder.
How to use this functionality?

are you using SqueezeboxServer running locally? If so, you can create
subfolders under favorites in the Web GUI. Click on the edit symbol
next to favorites (pencil?), and scroll down to bottom of favorites and
look for new folder button.
note: there is no subfolder function for users of

I don't know of a way to direct a newly-created favorite to a particular
Favorites folder. However, after creating a favorite at the top level
you can move it into the desired folder using drag-and-drop in the SBS
web ui, after getting into edit mode using the pencil icon as described

It would be a great enhancement if there was a 'add to Favorites'

After I reinstalled Squeezebox Server I also wanted to have the Other
Players Plugin active again.
Is this plugin not available anymore? I cannot find it in the 3rd
Party Plugins list anymore...

Why don't my apps show up on Squeezebox Server? They used to show under
My Apps, but they don't any more - just a link to Apps Gallery, which
confirms that I have them installed. I'm fairly dumb so I expect
there's a simple answer, but would appreciate any advice.

It's really just using the iPod like a wireless hard drive via Sonos'
wifi mesh network, and allowing access of the contents through the
normal Sonos controllers. I can see it being quite useful at parties
when people come over with iPods and want to play it through your
system. It does not use

It does not need a jailbroken iDevice. Should work out of the box on any
iPod / iPhone that has a dock connector.

From what I can tell, I cannot sync this particular station whenever
one of my Squeezebox Radios is synced, but any combination of my Duet /
Boom don't have any problem with this station.

iPeng doesn't have the same TTP as SP. For Albums/Playlists it has

I don't think passing around a laptop is feasible at most parties. Folks
will pick up a one-handed device like a controller or iPod/iPhone. A
laptop would be a bit intimidating and awkward.

I seriously doubt that any touch UI would be suitable for a remote controlled
device. Imagine you'd have to drag stuff around your TV set using an IR
remote... It's a totally different interaction model. Unfortunate for
No On-The-Go Playlist anymore in iOS4...
