I've been in the market for a long time for a new alarm clock.
The radio stations I tend to listen to are moving more towards the
Internet rather than direct broadcast.

Hi,
I bought a pre-owned squeezebox V3, unfortunately I lost contact with
the seller and I can not register my device with mysqueezebox.com...
Any ideas how can I solve this problem?
Thanks,

Hi Labarum,
Unfortunately, I can remember these, from my childhood. I also live in
Southampton. I was brought up on an estate that was constructed after
the war. All the houses were wired for Rediffusion, which gave a poor
choice of radio, via the dial in your picture. Times were hard then; no

Somehow that player must be deleted from it's previous MySB account.
You can find the previous owners email address on the SB3 in Settings
Information MySqueezeBox.com, the SB3 must be connected to MySB.com to
show this info.
Another option is to email support with the player model and MAC

I'm pretty sure the Android app will rather use port 9090/tcp to
connect to the Squeezebox Server.

Thanks for the link bpa - I missed that thread. It's very interesting

Well I took the plunge. Online web booking and then cycled to the
nearest webshop which is 10 minutes away (some things are well
organized in the Netherlands!)
Bought a Squeezebox Radio. Re-flashed it with the latest software and I
was up and running within 5 minutes.

Only if you want to switch between SBS and MySB without getting the FW
update. ;)
SBS 7.5.4 production release should be out any time now, but the beta

The resampling is working very well, but I notice constant disk activity
while listening to internet radio.
I assume that some temp file is generated and I wonder if there is a
way to have this temp file stored in ram (/dev/shm, for example)
What do you think, how could this be accomplished?
