2. SBS have read rigths to the playlist ?
You can check this manually.
take backups of your original playlists.
make a short pl with the web UI , open that in wordpad or similar , now
you see the path you should use.

Bought an external DAC hoping to download and play 24 bit/96 khz hi rez
files. Need help. Does the Duet support this sampling rate? Do I need
a special media player on the computer holding the files?

I believe the Duet will only stream 24/48 but will down-convert cleanly.
The Touch streams 24/96.
I simply store my 24/96 flac files as I do any other CD-ripped flac
files. SqueezeCenter knows what to do.

My criteria are:
- Must be able to access my music from it using SB at any time - so
preferably has a sleep mode like a Mac (can WOL do this - see
Duet is capable to stream 24bit / 48KHz files max.
So I keep 2 versions of my Hi-resolution files:
- 24bit / 48KHz (or 44.1KHz if source is n*44.1KHz) SoX max quality
down-converted version;
- Original version.
I use down-converted version in my SqueezeboxServer and original

is sold elsewhere.. has it been discontinued? Web/forum search was
inconclusive, though it does look like they were selling them at a

I managed to get this working - by loading SBS onto a Vista Laptop.
I'm busy troubleshooting, but I think that the app couldn't connect to
a Network made of W7 pcs in a Homegroup configuration (even though none
of them used passwords to access).

four lines of text, unlike the Transporter that never has more than
three and doesn't switch when using the front panel. I'm not sure if
this type of display can change the number of lines displayed,
And look at that... a hard power switch on the back in addition to the
Standby/On switch on the front. More amazing.
And an external antennae! Where was Fred Bould when they were designing
this thing? ;)

Thanx for this fantastic playback feature! I just activated it a couple
of days ago, and it has been mostly reliable.
I do have a couple of anomalies to report:
1. It's only happened once, but last night, I was playing back on iPeng
for a couple of hours with it docked on a BW Zeppelin. I then
