Re: [slim] Jazzradio.com Premium
I do subscribe to JazzRadio.com and it is a very good variety of many jazz stations. The stream is 192kps. There is no app for it ( which would be nice and more convenient for accessibility). I get the JazzRadio listings by going through an Internet radio search for JazzRadio.com. I then saved all the stations on a playlist(using sbs). I guess you could use msb.com and make a favorites file for it also. I think it's a very good jazz station. I believe it has some sort of alliance with Sky.fm. -- Ikabob Ikabob Squeezebox Touch w/SBS; SAE Amplifier;Marantz Pre-amp;ESS Heil Speakers(main listening speakers plus various additional speakers). [slim] Squeezebox classic cannot connect to server now
I've been having this problem recently and worked perfectly last week. At the moment my Squeezebox classic cannot see my SBS, i've uninstalled the server and reinstalled this. On my information tab it picks up the SB Classic and identifies it. It provides the correct MAC code and IP address. At the moment wireless connection is the trouble spot. When I connect it via ethernet it picks up the server fine. During the setup on the wireless on the SB Classic it pick up my SSID, connected onto the network and acquires an IP address. I can even ping it from my desktop computer but its just not communicating with the SBS via wireless. All my firewalls are off on my SBS desktop, no changes have been made on the router. My antivirus is not blocking this. Any suggestions what I can do? -- Schizophonic Schizophonic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39225 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87722 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music-Playback now on ANDROID! SqueezePlayer released to the market ...
It looks like the Squeeze Player problems on my Droid running Cyanogenmod are likely due to problems with the Droid reconnecting when switching from WiFi to 3G: http://cvpcs.org/blog/2011-05-15/let_s_get_this_thing_started_again So I'm going to assume that's the issue and not look for a solution from SqueezePlayer until I hear the problem is fixed on their end. mrfantasy;630947 Wrote: I did something similar, except turned off WiFi on the phone and turned it back on: 1) Wifi off: reconnect with 3G, rebuffered new song, as you predicted. 2) Wifi on: song kept playing as Wifi connected, but buffer emptied, song stopped. Although SqueezePlayer reports WiFi connected there is no buffering or music playback. 3) Wifi off again: Goes to 3G connected, no buffering, no playback. The server, however, still sees the player, and looks like it's still playing to it if you look at it via the web interface. When it gets to the end of the song the remaining timer keeps going up and the song length also increases (I've seen this with other communications problems with the server.) Eventually SqueezePlayer just hangs, if I haven't turned playback off and on. -- mrfantasy --Mike http://last.fm/user/mrfantasy mrfantasy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87364 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Try connecting SB3 to SBS at the player (if not tried already), navigate SB3 to My Music. Often this will work when the SBS web UI will not pull in the player. If still a no go, try rebooting the SB3 router (just unplug them for 1 minute). Re: [slim] OK, Where's The...
Well, I finally got 'my library' working again last night...kind of. Following some suggestions from the bug thread, I tried connecting in another area first; to kind of jump-start the service. The technique was not unfamiliar to me, because often I've had to use this to get to Rhapsody in the first place. You know; SBT won't connect to Rhapsody, but it will to Pandora...but after you connect to Pandora, it WILL connect to Rhapsody. I had already tried 'albums' under 'my library'...when 'artists' failed...but I still got the same 502 proxy error. In fact, it did it all the way down the list; genre, playlists, etc. Until I hit 'new music'; 'new music' worked, and then 'artists' worked again. 'Albums' still didn't...which is a mystery...but not an issue, as I don't tend to browse that way. For as long as I can remember...and I've been using the SB for about 6 years now...Rhapsody service is troublesome. Everything else...for the most part and within reason for a device of this type...works as advertised, but Rhapsody is fickle and always needs a little massaging. It's a shame, as it's my favorite service by a w i d e margin.
